Company Overview

T. Ward & Son Ltd is the parent company of a group of Ltd companies known collectively as Wardgroup. The company has been trading continuously since 1872 and were incorporated in 1927. A significant sector within the group is Wardgroup Plumbing and Heating who have specialised in commercial Plumbing and Heating since the company’s inception.

As awareness to the risks of Legionella bacteria has grown since 2001, it had become a natural progression for the company to carry out works to satisfy the requirements of ACOP L8. As a consequence Wardgroup began to carry out remedial works following risk assessments by other companies and following a training programme were eventually competent and confident to conduct its own risk assessments and maintenance regimes.

The extent of legionella related works carried out by the company is limited only to commercial hot and cold water systems (medium/Low complexity) excluding healthcare establishments

Wardgroup has LCA registration for the services listed below

• Hot and cold water risk assessment services.

• Hot and cold water monitoring and inspection services

• Hot and cold water cleaning and disinfection services

• Plant and equipment services (Installation and Refurbishment)

All works are carried out by the company’s in house staff and no works are sub contracted.
