Andy has worked in water treatment for over 34 years, starting his career in water treatment and legionella control services when he first joined Houseman Limited in early 1988. Based in the North West his first role was to manage a large customer portfolio covering steam boilers, evaporative cooling towers/condensers, closed systems and the emerging legionella control services.
New customer gains and being responsible for the training of several junior engineers resulted in promotion to District Sales Manager and a move to the east side of the country. Here Andy managed one of Houseman’s largest regions, managing a team of 37 sales/service engineers, environmental service technicians and administrative staff.
Further sales management roles in UK and International companies has given Andy export experience and in the practical engineering of cooling systems.
Having worked with some of the UK’s well-respected larger water treatment companies and being responsible for the training of staff, and management of company procedures has provided Andy with a broad understanding and sound practical experience within the industry.
Managing both customers and sales & service teams, Andy has extensive experience in the operation of legionella control in all aspects including completing tasks to operating, maintaining, and updating compliance systems to the standards set by the LCA Code of Conduct, L8, and HSG274.
